When to use this template
- When there is a timeline update after the interview
- When the candidate has been waiting longer than expected
- When the next round is ready but the formal invite has not been sent yet
Tips for writing the email
- If there is a delay, say that plainly.
- Give a real timeframe for the next update when you can.
- If there is no news, keep the message short and avoid over-promising.
What to edit before you send it
A recruiter follow-up is often the difference between a candidate feeling informed and a candidate feeling ghosted. Even a brief note can reset the experience in a good way.
